EFF STATEMENT ON MALUSI GIGABA’S USAGE OF STATE RESOURCES TO COMMIT ADULTERY AND INFIDELITY
The EFF notes the reports about the philandering ways of Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba. We do not care much about the Minister’s affairs and infidelity because he is renowned for using government’s credit card and money to buy flowers for girlfriends, breaking people’s families and engaging in unacceptable extra-marital practices.
The EFF is however concerned that in doing and practicing his personal affairs, Malusi Gigaba uses resources of the State, reportedly transferring money in excess of R700 000. If the reports about his infidelity and money transfers are true, it means that Malusi is involved in money laundering and even involves State Security officials to facilitate what is patently illegal money movements.
The EFF will write to State Security department, SARS, and all relevant authorities to request for a thorough investigations of a Minister who uses State resources for marital infidelity and money laundering. We will not keep quite when philandering Ministers abuse their positions. We will also call for an investigation into allegations of offshore accounts the minister holds. These off shore accounts are possibly explain his constant oversea trips because he can only spend money in these accounts abroad. State institutions and resources must be respected.
